Anyways, I don't think it's that bad. Add some contrast and maybe sharpen a little

My mistake was asking for C&C on the over worked version rather

I prefer the original and I agree that if you add some contrast it will look even better. I like the composition of it, you are on the right track!

Here's a 2 minute edit. To me, the thing I like about black & white images is the sharpness and the contrast in the images. So that's what bumped up in yours. I also messed with the levels a little to bring up the exposure.

This is a version of LCARSx32 edit with a graduated filter to darken the sky a little bit. Overall I like the photo. The composition is good in my opinion. It could improve I think if we could see what he is looking at, perhaps some object in the distance like his home.

It's not bad work and this forum is for showcasing the good and bad! It's how we all learn. Your portfolio is a different story but it's narrowminded thinking you'll only get good advice from showing good work, quite the opposite.
