First Time Senior Pics

Got some practice in by shooting my friends senior pics for free. First time ever photographing people. But anyways here are my two favorite. As always C&C is appreciated

I would have to agree. Is this a style that you like to shoot?

Depending on the subject for your next shoot, they might want a little brighter of a shoot. Personally I love color!

I would also work on exposure; both of these images seem significantly under-exposed.

Yeah the original picture is much brighter. But he said he wanted more of a darker "rock band" type of look. He showed me a few pictures of what he was talking about and I modeled it as close as I could. I darkened the back ground and lightened him up a tad so he would have that pop. And then of course the desaturated look.

Reminds me of this recent post which seems appropriate in this case:

I agree. The best use is for the prolific watermark. I swear that is the only reason these spaces exist anymore. In fact I'd swear from what I have seen they are positioned by photogs new and not new just for that purpose.

I agree. On the other hand.. if the pictures where going to be presented in a book, it might make a good intro page with his name/date instead of your watermark.

The last one, I like his smile... He's too yellow on top of the over saturation.
