Garage Sale Find "Spirotone Slavemaster Plus"

I was out hitting garage sales this weekend, and found a duffle bag full of photography equipment, and ended up paying $6 without digging through any of it.

I got home, and started taking the things out of the bag, and discovered a bunch of useful items. Reflectors, umbrellas, light stands, a lens or two (old canon stuff, so nothing I can use unfortunately) but there was one thing in particular hat caught my eye......... I found a "spirotone slavemate plus" slave strobe that might be useful.

I plugged it in, and it seems to work. It lights off when another flash is activated. Anyone have any experience with these? Novelty or useful tool? There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust this thing, so I'm guessing its full bore all the time.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I've made out like a bandit in the last couple weeks...... A complete 12 place setting of Noritake China with all the extras for $25, a 1909 Colt Police Positive revolver (price withheld), and now this. I'm kind of hoping this luck keeps up through the summer.

I've been doing it for over ten years, flipping the stuff on eBay. I've been on a roll the last couple months, box of Barbies (paid $5, sold for $800+), some Italian wood carvings (paid $1200, sold for $2900), and just a ton of stuff that I paid less than $10 for and sold for $75+ each.
