Hi, my name is Josh and I guess you could classify me as a beginner/enthusiast photographer. I was looking for a photography forum to help me learn to take better pictures and to possibly get constructive criticism of my photos. I am outdoorsman and as such most of my photos will be of nature landscapes, fly fishing related photos, and bird hunting photos. I look forward to learning from all of you. I will be upgrading from a Sony A200 to a Nikon D7100 here in the next couple weeks and I hope to find articles and knowledge on here to help me make the transition. Below is a good example is the type of photos I will be contributing, I sincerely look forward to meeting all of you.

Welcome to the site Josh. honestly, I think composition wise I like #2 best. I think it may be a little tightly cropped but I like the concept there. There will be people on here that aren't going to like #1 at all, just being real there.

Hang around it is a great place to learn.

I wondered posting about #1. I am unabashedly a bird hunter and that will reflect in my photos. All my bird photos will seem as the bird is asleep, feathers smoothed, and no blood. I hope that doesn't offend anyone.
