As above looking to get a tripiod for my camera but dont wanna spend silly money really..

looking between 20-50 pounds.. anyone no of a good site that does these?

Look to the used equipment stores, eBay, etc. A good tripod and head (new) from Manfrotto, Giottos, Benbo, etc, is going to run you at least 100 Pounds, and more likely closer to 150 - 200. Don't forget this is the thing that you're trusting to hold up hundreds or even thousands of pounds worth of gear. Does it really make sense to cheap out here? Granted, you may not need a top-of-the-line Giottos with a $500 RRS ball-head, but a good set of Manfrotto 190 legs and a 488 ball head are worth the money!

Thank you for the reply, you do have a really good point.

i may look into the higher ones, just have to live with the g/f nagging for a week or so lol

Well I don't think that the 488 head is completely necessary if you are on a budget the 486rc2 is about 40-50 dollars cheaper and is still great it just doesn't have the separate panning feature. The 190 manfrotto legs are also very good and you can get them at a good price. Good luck!
