I captured my first falcon, an American Kestrel sitting high in a half dead tree. Please, give your honest opinion on which picture you think looks better. I'm struggling with whether to go a little heavier on the colors in all my pics or to keep them looking more natural and subdued. Thanks for any input, I appreciate it.

1 (lighter on the color)

2 (heavier on the color)

Tough call. They are both good but if I had to pick it would be the lighter one. I think personal preference plays a big role here. Which do you want to hang on your wall?

I tend to like the more natural tones, but sometimes a pop of extra color can be nice too. In this case I prefer number one.

Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it and apparently au naturel is the favored way to go. ;)

I like #2 better.

Nicely done; I'm going to split the difference and say I'd like something between the two in terms of colour/saturation. Definitely prefer a portrait aspect however.
