I took this on mothers day
her hat says "kids race against drugs"
thought it was funny.
She doesn't like this....but I do
What do you guys think?

I don't think I would like it if I were her either.

From a purely technical standpoint, the focus is good, the contrast is good, and I like the B/W conversion. However, the square crop and the expression don't really allow this to be treated like a portrait, and there isn't any other context in which to view it. It's basically a better-than-average candid shot.

I guess that what I would have loved to see in this photo is something that would tell me:

a) Why is she wearing the hat / why is it important (if that is indeed part of the context)
b) What is going on that would elicit that expression?

On the positive side though, I like the B/W conversion, and you did a great job on focus.

The hat really has no significance. It was from kmart a decade or so ago.
Her expression was actually due to me asking for a photograph.
