What's new

Haven't posted images here in a while, so...

I don't have anything to add to the cc that hasn't been pointed out but I did want to say if you wouldn't have said these were taken at a park I too would have thought it was done in studio. The lighting on your wife's face is very flattering.

(I was also going to say, why is she wearing a sweater in July in the Dallas heat, but then I saw you posted they were a taken a couple of months ago, lol)

Sorry Kerbouchard, I've been in your thread twice without commenting on your photos. Bad form.

First off....... you have a beautiful wife. A very wise and gracious looking countenance.

I will agree with you on the hair light. I'm going to disagree with you on the lower camera position.

I think #2 is too dark in the shadows.
Thanks, I'll pass the compliment on to the wife...she was uncomfotable about these pics since she was still a bit on the plus side after having our daughter. That was part of the reason I went with the angles and the lighting that I did...so, if you don't think she looks a bit heavy and your only complaint is the shadows, I'll take it.

Thanks. Yeah, a bit warm over here for a sweater this time of year.

Anybody got anything else?

i love the photos. wouldn't change the pose. maybe some way of subtle background light just enough to silhouette her.

Everyone has said everything I would have said about the sharpness, lighting, etc except that she looks as if she was leaning backwards in #2 - and thus looks awkward.

Ok, since there seems to be a consensus on the second one's pose and crop, is this better?

For a field shot, I think the lighting is well done. Your wife, as others have already noted, is a very attractive woman, and she has gorgeous eyes. While a rim light would have been really nice, I like how her face glows warmly in both pictures. She comes across as a person I'd like to know. I'll be very happy if I could do shots like you did with my own family. Eh, practice, practice, practice.;)

Thanks for the kind words.
