It seems a little too dark for my taste. But I like the composition.

I agree. This is my first b&w and it isn't the best b&w conversion.

Yeah, it is just a little too dark, and the hairpin is definitely distracting.
I think lightening it a bit (though probably not this much) and removing the hair pin is a good call.

I agree that the hairpin is distracting. Anybody have B&W tips?
