I don't normally do people with the intent of a candid portrait, but I'm starting to like to. What do you think of this?

subject is too closely cropped to the right...leaving too much negative space and his face is extremely blown out for my taste.

I think the composition could work, but the contrast is too high and i second the blown outedness. i'm also not too sure about the expression, but I would need to be able to see it a litle better

yah.. part of his face it way too overexposed while his left eye is hardly visible, hidden in a shadow.

Okay thanks guys...I'll work on those things next time.

I guess his facial expression could work...he was playing basketball so he was concentrating hard...it's kinda hard to tell though since you can't see anything but his face and some leaves.
