Its a bit underexposed.
I'd recommend adding brightness and contrast.

learn about composition for a start. The elements are there for an interesting shot though. Read up on rule of thirds and then go back and reshoot it.

That's just my opinion though.

The vanishing point, where the road ends, sits nearly exactly on the lower right point of thirds.
The bridge runs through the lower left point on thirds to the vanishing point. With emphasis, the dark stormy skies sits on the upper 2 thirds of the image almost exactly. While the dead end bridge and the water sit on almost exactly 1/3 on the lower part of the image. Do you see it?

If you're really want to get killer B&W, look into Zone System :)
I still think you need more contrast

I can see what you done, but one third bridge and 2/3's cloud is not a good use of this rule. But if you are happy with it then that's all that matters. ;) As I said it is only an opinion.

Well, you are wrong. I know that might be hard to accept. Actually the dead end bridge runs two thirds ending on the vanishing point which sits on the intersect point of one third (where it should be) , lower right. The bridge and the water below , are composed one third from the bottom of the image.
This leaves two thirds to capture the raging skies. Expand your rule of thirds, sir. There are many ways to capture it. No offense taken and hopefully I haven't offended you.

WRONG ATTITUDE!
You came here for help and asked for feedback. 9/10 people who'll give you feedback actually know what they are talking about and 1/10 will say something along the lines "I'm also a newbee but...." 2/3 doesn't mean you take a ruler and measure the frame. So you have an option continue posting, act like a jerk and your posts will be 0 weeks after weeks b/c people here DO remember login names OR you can take a step back, appreciate the response and be a bit more humble.

He must have been the tenth person. He was wrong about his composition comment. Accept that.
I don't feel I'm acting like a jerk. He may gain something from my remarks. If no one corrects him , he'll never know. I don't appreciate your jumping up and down while trying to start an argument.
I said this was my first digital, not my first camera. I've forgotten more about photography than you'll ever know. Take that for what it's worth. And sit down. And don't make me prove it. I'll embarrass you.

I am not trying to be inflammatory. As I said it is only an opinion. You are fine to ignore it. But don't ask for criticism if you can't take it. If you think I am wrong then that is fine.

Maybe I should make myself clearer. Again, this is just an opinion. The way I see it is the top of the bridge borders the first third and is level with the horizon, give or take a few pixels. If I took it I think I'd have the top of the bridge in the centre of the second third and play on the bridge going down into the first third. Then you would still have your clouds and water.

But that is just me. Good luck with it.

jumping up and down? what are you talking about?
you've forgotten more...?
You really are an arrogant jerk.

Thanks for making thing easier- keep lurking b/c thats the only thing you'll be doing. :lmao:
