Help please, new camera and white lines appearing over some images

Hi all,

can anyone point out what this maybe on my photos as its a brand new camera and i am getting a white line over some images

any help is greatly appreciated

To me it looks like a bad image sensor. What camera and how long you had it? Has it been like this out of the box?

EXIF data shows the camera is a Nikon D3100.

The camera likely needs to be repaired. Either return it to where you bought it for replacement, or send it to Nikon UK for warranty repair.

As far as I know, this isn't a common issue. Entry level cameras are more prone to issues, but that should still be a pretty low % (for instance, I know some early model Canon rebels had issues with card readers).

First time I have ever heard or seen that sort of issue on an new-out-of-box Nikon body of can calibre.
