Hospital displaying my work.

So I just got an email from the hospital my mom currently works at and where I used to work. They are looking for some nature shots to be hung in the clinic exam rooms to "calm" the patients. It's in a children's hospital. There is no pay, it would just be a donation. There is no budget for it, but they said they would try to "get my work acknowledged." Whatever that means... :sexywink:

I'm just wondering how many of you would do it?

I would do it IF they pay for the cost. Framing is expensive! Also put a little caption with your name on it. The only way I would pay for it if I can put baby photography in the baby rooms with my name & phone #.

BUT:
1. I used to work at this place
2. There really is no budget for it, I know there isn't because I used to work there..
3. I think it would be nice to have my work displayed somewhere other than on my bedroom walls and on flickR.

Maybe those are just excuses, but I'm leaning towards doing it...

Get your name on it,
And yes, make sure your not the one paying for anything if its their offer. You just take the pics.

It would be really cool if you could get shots of baby animals playing or something.

Yeah, but put something that attract business like cute baby pics or something. If you only put scenery photos, more than likely nobody is going to buy a print. Just saying...

Should I work for free? → Is it for a business? → Yes → Did they promise to try to get your work acknowledged. → Yes → This is the most toxic line of bullsh!t anyone will ever feed you. Tell them No.

HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH TO YOU IN DOLLARS TO FLATTER YOURSELF?

How many times have you or anyone you know seen a photo somewhere and then tracked down the artist so you could buy one?

There are exceptions though are there not?

It's a hospital, it's not like they are going to be making money off my work.
I still think it would be worthwile to get my name out there...

Also, its worth a shot anyway, id say try and find a manager or something and let them know that you are doing photographs for a children's hospital or what ever (No one can refuse children's hospital) and see if they can get you closer or at least show you which animals have babies on hand.

Maybe they will end up being generous and you could end up with shots you never would have got.
