How Long was it Before You Got Your Second Lens?

you can buy it today or buy it next year.

but it wont do you much good until you learn the basics as you said you need to learn.

learning the basics will do far more for you than that lens will

I started in film days w/ 5 lenses. All with difference focal lengths.

Today, with technology and youtube one kit lens is more then enough to LEARN. You'll know when you're ready for an upgrade - when you get to the point where you can't get specific look and you honestly know that you tried everything to get that look but lack THE LENS, that is when you should buy that lens.
Then again, if you got the $, far being from me to tell you to help our economy
