How to create lighting and focus like this?

And how do you know that artificial lighting wasn't used? The evidence doesn't seem to support that... I'm nto really sure what aspect of the images you're talking about. They've very good images, but I don't see anything special or unique in the lighting.

Probably just a nice camera and a nice lens. My guess is 85mm f/1.4 or 50mm f/1.2.

Strobe + softbox + fast Sharp lens + hot model = those pictures.

Oh yeah, knowing how to use those things properly doesn't hurt..... I'm sure.

In the set of the model's makeup, look at the catchlights in the models eyes for clues a to how the lighting was done. You can see in a couple of the shots that 3 or 4 reflectors were under the camera reflecting light up onto the model, and either a couple of large windows or softboxes wee used. In one shot of the model's eye, you can even see the photographer.

I know about artifical lighting because my photos were taken the same way (she did) I mean that the image itself and the background are very soft, but still colours are well defined and saturated, and the object is bringed out, but I don't think that she just uses contrast button in photoshop, skin colour is beautifully deep and not overdone. Her camera is Canon sth. I want to know how can I make same focus and colours with my Son NEX 3:)
Thanks a lot:)

You need to get one of these to fit your camera Planar T* 1,4/85 ZA

Looks like there was alot of artificial lighting on her to me. I would say a couple soft boxes and some speed lights. But I am no expert.
