I keep the old GF1 in the car for such occasions.

As we approached the crossing, down the road from our house, the crossing guard stepped onto the road. I pulled over on the shoulder, grabbed the camera & raced up to the tracks.

I keep the G1 in one car & the GF1 in the other. You never know when a photo op will occur.
