"If I Had a Desk"

I think it'd look kind of like this after a day of shooting. Currently I'm deskless and just setup wherever I can, but decided to set up a "mock" desk tonight. I didn't get a chance to go out and shoot any landscapes today as I was rained in, so I settled for a little studio work instead. I'm pretty pleased with this one. Maybe one day I'll have a desk and see if it actually ends up looking like this.

P.S., not so sure about the crop... I really shoulda moved into the garage so I had more room to move, but one edge was pressed against my bed and there really was no room to move... I need a studio, da**it!

My only question is why did you take the lens cap off the lens laying face down? Maybe its from the lens you're using but that's not how it appears.

The cap is from my 85, which I shot with. The 16-35 is still capped :thumbsup:

I lay all my lenses around cap-less. Sometimes, if I'm short on space, I'll lay things on top of them. Like extra sandpaper and the like. Is that wrong?!

Composition is great Imho. The only thing that bugs me is that wire from your portable harddrive having a loop in it. I know how those wires get but in its current positioning it catches my eye a lot which makes it very annoying (as it is literally the least interesting thing in the entire image)

Good Job with the screen exposure, you might consider doing some selective color adjustment to it though, it appears slightly green, maybe with a hint of cyan as well.

Yeah, I actually took a second non-flash exposure of like 1/1.3 seconds for the screen and layered it in in post. I'll take a look at the color and see if I can correct it. And you have no idea how annoying that cord is. I couldn't find a better way to arrange it, nor did I want every cord going off the desk. It's definitely my least favorite part of the image...

Maybe. I think I'll re of this again and light it/frame it a bit differently. The black expanse on the top left bothers me...

I can see where you were heading with this. However, it just feels 'thrown together'.

Which obviously is was. But it almost seems fake, I'm not sure how else to explain it.

But I do like it, it's a cool clean shot. It's just missing something.

Love the beats though. Nice detail touch.
