I am sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me when I was in college. I called my girlfriend's house looking for her because she had gone home for the weekend. Her brother got to tell me that she had been killed in a car wreck the night before.
You will hurt for a long time. However, you are young and will recover. And you will never forget her. I still think about my girlfriend from time to time. But you have to be willing to let go. I went through a rough period for a few years because I couldn't let go. It is okay to move on and if she loved you like you think, then she would want you to be happy.
The other thing to keep in mind is that while you may be feeling like your world has ended, the pain her family is in is far worse than yours. Don't make the mistake of thinking that you are hurting more than them. The best thing you can do for her, and yourself, is to be there for her family.
