Impromtu Dock Portraits

Went for a walk down to the Docks in Toronto the other day and brought the camera. Didn't plan on shooting anything like this so I would have loved to have brought at least a relector.. but, we still had some fun.
Here's some less serious portraits from that day.

2nd and 4th are wonderful though all 4 are fine...ur exposure calculation under these difficult condition is appreciable. thanks for sharing.

Stunning model. If that's a GF or something you've got an excellent built-in model to learn from.

The washed out background and the effect of the light on the exposure of her face is unfortunate... but as you mentioned... reflector would help... or maybe just turning her around.

I don't love the 'giving the finger' thing, but if it works it works. Overall I think 1 is my favorite.

Yeah, agreed about the wash out. I kept wanting to turn around and shoot the other way but than I may as well have stayed in my backyard or something because behind us was a dirty parking lot and industrial.. and the point was the tower and buildings in the background.
Glad we agree. Thanks about the model comment, more of a current fling at this point but we'll see where it goes hahah. :mrgreen:
