I've seen probably 20 people like you "come and go" on this forum over the years... 20 I've noticed, anyway.

The process is always about the same...

1. Join up, say hello.
2. Post some pictures.
3. Storm around and try to tell people that their critique is wrong, their approach is wrong, how dare they, etc.
4. Try to calm the entire thing down, which usually amounts to trying to put out a fire with gasoline. (you should like that analogy) ;-)
5. The apologize/plea post, which is kinda really neither.

Usually 6 and beyond follow a few different patterns, depending on the person.

It's often some combination of...

Choose one from this group:

a> Quitter - you're going to leave the forum
b> The Rock - you're going to stay and stick it out

And one from this group:

a> The Dozer - you're not backing down (even if you're quitting), you've said your piece and you're standing by it.
b> The Reborn Pacifist - Can't we all be friends? We're all just photographers here to learn from each other, right?
c> The Penitent - You've realized how very wrong you were, have your tail between your legs, and your head bowed low
d> The Faker - You've realized how very wrong we think you were, and you don't really agree, but you're gonna make like you do in the hopes that it will all blow over eventually.

And one from this group:

a> The Shadow - You've decided it's best to fade into the background so as not to bring too much attention to yourself.
b> The Brazen - Damn your past, you're here and you're here to stay. You shall post with a fury figuring that whatever you post now will eventually dillute what you posted previously.


It's always interesting to watch.

I think there are some limitaions in his equipment that is creating some shortfalls for him. I'm not convinced that with what he's shooting with he can do too much better so lets take a look at what hes using and see if its the camera(s) and then lets see if we can get him some free PP programs to work and some links to how to use it and maybe there can be some sort of assistance in that regard. I only now understand what he was shooting with....The compsoon thing though.....dunno .

Camera and equipment have nothing to do with communication skills and personality.... I suspect the problem is the latter, not the former!
