Jumping cat monastery

Nga Hpe is a wooden monastery, which was built on stilts on Inle Lake, Myanmar just north of Ywama. The monastery is famous for its cats, that were trained by the monks to jump through small hoops.

They looked like just ordinary cats, Lew...but it is a nice memory to have gotten that shot. In the Tibetan monastery they use Siamese cats to guard their jewels. They are beautiful animals.
