We had four or five years of light snow. Hamilton is in a weird little pocket by the lake where we are kind of sheltered, and even when it does snow heavily it melts between storms. It's the opposite of Buffalo and Niagara with their "lake effect".

However, last winter was just HORRIBLE. I don't think we had less than 2' of snow on the ground between late November and early March. The snow banks beside driveways got monumental. I'm so glad I wasn't living downtown anymore.
