kenko vs hoya

Bought a hoya pro cp filter..
amazon used... instead
I got kenko pro1 wideband cp
how do they compare. looks like new was 30.00
would you keep it or send it back

received a response from THK and have attatched it below, I was a little surprised and in fact forwarded the first attached comment on to them .


Same company, same quality. The difference is that in Japan, Hoya filters are ONLY sold under the Kenko brand name, while elsewhere in the world, Hoya is the name everyone sees.

While some companies here in the US sell Kenko filters, they are identical to Hoya.

I have always likened Kenko and Hoya to, ummm...lemme see....old hippie....hmmmm....thinks of a reference point....Three Dog Night and CCR...Coors and Olympia beer in cans...Marlboro and Winstons...sleeping in a 1968 VW microbus as opposed to sleeping in a 1969 VW microbus...
