Kill me now..........

Well, shot the actual band photos today......another shoot that didn't go as smoothly as i would have hoped. (maybe its just the band??..lol)....We were all set to shoot at this blacksmith shop. well, the band calls me up 2 hours before the shoot saying we can't shoot there now, so were going to go to this country club and they have a "photo area" there to shoot. Great, I had already scoped the other location but no big deal. I pack up my gear and head out. After getting lost multiple times i finally arrive. wanted to get there earlier to check the place out but at least I made it early enough to set up. The place we were shooting was a staged area made for entire wedding parties. Now, I used to carry A LOT of stuff with me, at one time i carried 3 different size ladders. I've gotten down to bare essentials. Well, area for the band was so high up i was forced to shoot alot of it from weird underneat angles. Plus I REALLY could have used about 26' light stands as i was forced to light upwards quite a bit. and finally, (this is my own dumbass move here) I had to shoot with my backup camera and didn't realize my iso sensitivity was put on so it jacked my iso up into hail mary territory which is not good on this camera. all in all, it could have been better, could have been worse. I have quite a bit of pp to do to fix some closed eyes, and shadows from a cowboy had, and lights in glasses......but I'll throw up a quick sample. This is just processed for effects, as I usually do a few different (14 this time) effects on one image quickly for the band to decide what direction they want to take. No closed eyes and such have been fixed. (the guy on the right looks funny but I'm replacing his head with one from that same angle that he looks good in)

again QUICK rendition just to get to the band fast for them to pick.

Well it's not a really bad shot, the cut and paste on the one guitar player doesn't work so well, the railing is crooked behind him, but then you already know that. Looks like you may need to work on your photoshop skills as well. The more time spent fixing a photo the less money you make off the original shoot, unless you are charging a lot of money. Based on the quality of the image, which I believe you feel is the best one, otherwise you wouldn't have posted it, I hope you weren't charging them a lot of money. It's nice to have some background on the shoot, and unfortunately the original location was changed, that can rattle anyone, but you then listed all the excuses in the book as to why the shoot wasn't great. It's not the best looking band, I'll give you that one.
