Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
i own a nikon d3000 camera, and i'm looking into buying a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens. is this compatible with my camera? i went on to sigma's website and the only one that said nikon was a motorized version, yet this lense doesn't have the motorized listed and it's telling me it's for nikon (i'm buying it offline). someone help?

The D3000 does not have an built-in focus motor so the lens has to have it. Other Nikon models, like the D90, have that so the lens doesn't need the focus motor.

So I should buy the Motorized version then?
Thank you for your help!

Yes, if you want auto focus.

Sigma's notation that indicates a lens has a focus motor in it is - HSM.

As general information for other Nikon users.

Those Nikon camera's that have a focus motor in them (D50, D70 - D90, D100 - D700, D7000, D1 - D3) only use that in-the-body focus motor if the lens doesn't have a focus motor in it. Those cameras I listed always use any in-the-lens focus motor instead of the in-the-body focus motor.
