Mamiya 645 Pro Not Firing

Hello,

Just received my Mamiya 645 Pro in the mail yesterday. I tried troubleshooting it and it was not working. I tried again with film and ruined my roll of film. I am not sure what the problem is and was wondering if anyone had a solution to why it is not firing. I will have to return item in 30 days so I want to figure this out soon. I am taking it to a shop today but thought I would give this forum a try.

I tried troubleshooting it and it was not working. .. it is not firing.

Do you mean the shutter is not working?

"Not firing" is a very vague term. What actually happens when you press the shutter release? Does the button actually depress? Do you hear anything? Does it feel like it's locked? It could be anything from a faulty shutter to a jammed dark-slide interlock... Are there any issues advancing the film?
