Took a couple pictures of my moms friends cat. Here she is.....C&C please

C&C per req:

1. I don't think monochrome is perhaps the best treatment here. The detail of the cat's black fur is lost and the front of the bed and left side are confusing to the eye as well. Remember to get down to the animal's eye level!


2. A nice pose, and good positioning. A reflector image right to bring some window light back onto his (hers?) left side (image right) would have helped immensely.


In both cases the images lose a great deal due to the busy, cluttered backgrounds. Remember to select plain, non-distracting backgrounds and to use larger apertures and longer focal lengths to render them out of focus.
