I really like the black and white shot and I liked also the second shot of today's post the best. Its still modest, but you get a better feeling of the mother and child.

In the new series of photos that you posted. I agree I like the second one best. You can see the tenderness in the mothers expression. But if I were to pick a favorite, I would say that your black and white one is by far my favorite.
