I did not call your pictures crappy...you are projecting: I wrote, "If
my pictures turn out crappy,
I take full responsibility for them." I was referring to MY photos. Seriously. I'm even giving you an out there--by admitting that I can make crappy photos, and if I do--I blame MYSELF. Got that yet?
I went back through your recent posts, misstwinjkytoes. Your attitude is that of a defensive self-confessed MWAC, and you call experienced shooters "asshats". For the past month, you have been trying to learn how to use your 50mm lens, and how to get accurate focus with it. You have been turning out some sub-par work. A three-hour lesson with a qualified, experienced shooter would show you the errors you have been making, consistently, for over a month. Instead, you're doing it here, in pubic, two or three pictures at a time. I would suggest you take a class in photography, or find a local area mentor who can actually demonstrate white balance, f/stop selection, and how to focus properly with an off-center AF point, using the equipment you have.
You have been here since June of 2010, and already have 1,262 posts. I have been helping you all along. Your rantings and ravings against "pros", and your defensive stance on "MWAC"s, as described in your posts, give me some insight in to your situation. if you want to improve your photography skills, there are multiple ways you can do it. You wrote you are going to be charging $400 for wedding photography services soon. Soon is too soon, IMHO. The quality loss you describe is NOT exclusively your web host or image re-sizing--your boy's senior portrait, first attempt, from Sept. 17 or so, was mostly out of focus and almost 1,000 to 1,200 degrees too cool on WB. Since then, you have complained about "asshats" (professional photographers) and decried what you call the bias against MWACs...so much drama...over and over...
And yet, when you did well, on 2 occasions, I complimented your work. You even thanked me for one post. I can only find 1 or the 2 atta-girl posts I gave you.

And so on and so on. If you want something "specific" to fix your issues, then you are truly not getting the idea--you need some experience and training, from somebody who will point out the repeated mistakes you are making over and over, for a month on end, and who will counsel you on how to shoot. Four months of self-taught experimenting with a d-slr. Not quite a "something specific" kind of problem...
