Took these photos about a month ago. He played "Clark Kent/Superman". Please let me know what you think.

Is he wearing someone else's glasses? These are very cute.

#4 is very strange looking. Did you do radical adjustments in post? There's a sort of strange veil of noisy... stuff over it, as if it was lifted up from wildly underexposed.

The poses and the look are very cute, I like them. The compositions are quite nice, but you feel a little rule-of-thirds obsessed, which gives these informal shots a very formal feeling. The wide angle in #4 is a good idea, but the blown out background eliminates the context/scene you were looking for. That's a tough shot (fill flash yadda yadda there are 192819289 threads on TPF that cover that already).

I like the movement of the angle of view from above when he's Clark Kent to below when he's Superman. It makes him small.. and then big!

Yep. Got some reading glasses at the $1 store and popped the lenses out so it wouldn't hurt his eyes.
You're spot on about #4 but I really loved the pose. Thanks for the feedback.

In 3 & 4, though the sky is over exposed (blown) the subject is underexposed. To get a better exposure and background I would have turned him the other way, so that he faces the barn. This way the light would be brightening his face and the background would be shaded (specifically talking about the grass). This looks like an awesome location with cool structures to play around with! I think you should do a reshoot during the golden hour. I am really liking the theme of these but the lighting sorta kills them for me.

I love #1 with the exception of all of the distractions in the background and the way the table goes off the image throwing balance. Like the feel of the solitary contemplation of the pose.
2. I love it. The glasses are adorable and even without the super man prop the kids are loving the goofy look these days. The eyes don't match the face for sharpness. HOWEVER-that could be size related. If you are sharpening and brightening the eyes keep it VERY light until you print. Then size the image to the size you are printing, blow up to full size on the computer and sharpen at at that size. When you print or view smaller something that is sharpened at a much larger size will do that. You are compressing all of those pixels into a much smaller size and pushing them together so it looks over sharpened.
The mottled light from the tree is something to be aware of. It doesn't really take much from the image here, but it can be a really harsh problem when you're shooting under a tree. Just be aware of it.
3. It's a mom shot. I don't see the moment you see in it-which is totally fine. Scrapbook it and include the memory and it'll be beautiful.
4. I love the pose too! I don't love the cut off feet and the distractions.

It's an awesome scrapbook/story album set. HE is exposed well. Yeah, the sky is blown out, but it's fairly OK. You weren't aiming for perfect skies-yet (I assume.) When you are ready to do that you'll add in flash and aim for perfect.
