Do the 2-button reset on the camera, and try making some more photos. If the problem persists after the reset, send the camera in for repair. They will be able to detect if the camera was left in a high temperature environment, so if that in fact happened, don't be surprised if they won't do a warranty repair.

If ambient air temps were 40°+C, inside car temps with the windows rolled up, and the car in direct sunlight, were 70° C, or more.
