New to this forum, could get some opinion on some of my shots!

Hey there! I take a lot of pictures of the local band that we have in in Toronto. I mainly use the D300 with a 50mm 1.8, but for this shoot I rented the 24-70 2.8 I could use your opinion on some of my favorite shots! Shots 1 and 2 are with the 24-70, and shot 3 4 is with the 50mm 1.8


Also images 1 and 2 were shot at an event outside under a tent, with bright spotlights

Images 2 and 3 were pretty much in dark dark settings, with only the spotlights giving light

Welcome to the forum, blackout2010! I'm new to the forum too, but just wanted to ask what type of music does the band play?

Concert photography is difficult at the best of times; I think you've done well here. Supplemental light would have helped, but I'm sure that wasn't an option. I'm not fussed on some of the angles, and you may have missed the focus in #3, BUT overall, given the conditions, pretty good.

Thanks! I could have flashed, however I don't like sometimes how flash takes away from the ambient or mood lighting of the event.
