Now this is how you stop solicitors.

Yikes!!!! I have a little trick that I use with telemarketers and politicians that doesn't cause any damage to the property. Every time there is an election - local, state, national. I keep track of the politicians that use Robo callers. I then spend a little time looking up those politicians home phone numbers (if I can find a cell number even better). Then when those annoying telemarketers call I tell them I'm REALLY INTERESTED AND WANT TO BUY RIGHT NOW but I have my number forwarded to my work, so I'm on my employers phone. Could they call me right back on (insert politicians number) and it will forward to my cell phone. That way I get even with two birds at the same time, and the politicians number gets sold over and over as a hot number. I gives me great satisfaction in knowing I've help spread karma daily.

But think of the profit you can make with the posted method.

Clean Underwear - $50.00
Shower - $25.00

Oh, that's a funny surveillance video!

Yeah there's been a few that I wish I could have done more then force them to change their underwear.

Here we call lawyers politicians. At least some of them. The rest we call thieves. :allteeth:

I was expecting something quite different as Solicitors is what we Brits call Lawyers.
What ever happened to he tried and true term of Barrister? I figured since the kept the wigs they would keep the term.

Barristers still exist but they are specialists in court trials and would represent you. Solicitors work on the law outside of court (though some can represent you in court) generally speaking. So for example if you were an employer you'd hire a solicitor to draft employment contracts, but the solicitor would instruct a barrister to defend you in court if you were sued, or prosecuted criminally.

PS Barristers are for England and Wales. It's Advocates in Scotland (cos you know, we have a related but separate legal system).

When I was in Glasgow a few years ago I stop before a graveyard in a Gorbals cemetery, and notices a carved tombstone declaring, 'Here lies a lawyer and an honest man...'
'who'd ever think 'there'd be enough room fer two men in that one wee grave...'

Never know, Rover may have had Rump Roast for dinner. He definitely had the opportunity.
