Oh Crappie (for Derrel)

Dang bird, steal the fish that aren't as good to eat and leave those to us. lol

How did you manage that downward angle on that Osprey in #1? I always knew you could fly, but can you really fly higher than an osprey?

Wait until you see a GoPro shot of him harnessed to a dangling branch 30ft out from a 1000ft cliff. Coastalconn is related to Evil Knievel. :)

Ha ha!!! In the south they call crappie "bream", which they pronounce like "brim", as in ,"The brim of a hat." Crappie are fun to catch!!! I guess osprey like catchin' 'em too!

LMAO, this was easy, I was on a bank on a small pond looking down. If I had waited 5 minutes I would have been in position for a perfect dive sequence, but nothing was happening so I started walking back to my car :( Jaca, hmm, not sure about that, but I do climb trees and lay in mud to get shots :)

Oh, Derrel, I knew you would have some insight :) I used to catch a lot of them where I grew up.

Last time I caught and ate fresh fish, it was catfish, out of the polluted James River, in Richmond...

New to me... Crappie have always been referred to as Crappie, maybe Specs. Other sun fish like Blue Gill and Long Eared Redbreast are frequently referred to as bream.

Sounds like a walk on the wild side there.

yeah but i cooked them on the George Foreman.

Everything cooked on the George Foreman Grill brings to the plate more punch than if pan-fried, more potency than if deep-fried, more pleasure than if poached. The George Foreman grill is the savior of the Goodwill Industries small appliances aisle. Strangely, I gave mine away to Goodwill...huh...
