Here's my last photo for the night until my shoot tomorrow. I think this may follow all of the rules.... haha

The lighting on her face appears quite harsh, maybe try a modifier next time?

This one isn't as impressive. The pose is very awkward and the tree, dead in the middle throws off the photo.

agreed, i would change her pose. it's up to the photographer to position the model.

play around with different framing and aperture. say, close in a little to cut out some of the space (and that grey stuff hanging off the branches in top right corner) above her and soften the background with higher fstop

Yea I know, the sun was in my eyes and I realized how poorly this picture followed any of the rules of photography. Hence my sarcastic comment "strictly textbook photography "

Nick, I agree with the other comments (including your own) re breaking a bunch of rules. I will say, though, you did a much better job on the lighting in this one than the one I commented on in your other thread. No heavy shadow lines or particularly striking speculars. I'd say this is a step in the right direction. Nice work. :thumbup:
