Orders!!!

Just wanted to share my excitement over my new orders to be part of the plank owning (first crew) of the new Coast Guard cutter Hamilton out of Charleston, South Carolina. Really stoked for a new scene even though I will be busy I will try to get out to do some landscapes before we get underway!

Congrats Juga - and keep your head down while your out there. You Coast Guard guys don't get anywhere near the credit you deserve and I don't think a lot of people realize that your far more likely to get shot at than the Navy. The Hamilton is an older cutter isn't she? In fact if I remember right she was involved in a couple of really large drug seizures during her career.

Thanks I appreciate the kind words. The Hamilton you are thinking of is the 378' Hamilton Class cutter...it has been decommissioned and the new National Security Cutter Hamilton will be commissioned next December. Plank Owner is a term given to the original crew at the time of commissioning.
