I am new so don't know if this is the proper area to place a photo to critique ..

Actually, the beginner's forum is not the place to post photos. Sorry. You can either PM a mod. to ask that this thread be moved, or just delete the photo and start a new thread in the "General" forum and then post this same photo. Thanks.
