I LOVE it! Its a subtle change but makes a huge difference. And its subtle enough so that she wont notice that work was done and think "hey... i have a nice curvy shape!"
So what did you do? Good job! and this was your "quick edit?"
Yes, that was my quick edit, haha. If you look at her sleeve it's a little blurry and mis-shapen, because I didn't take the time to clean that up, haha.
Stay tuned for what I did...
Very nice edit e.rose! You know how to use the lasso tool very well.
Thanks! It wasn't the lasso tool though...
What I did was Liquified it using the "Push Left" tool. You have to use a really low density and pen pressure so that each stroke you make doesn't just smear everything all over the place, but it's a neat little thing a retoucher taught me when I met with him one on one. You find some really kind and generous people once in a while who are willing to teach you what they know without expecting anything but a "Thank you" in return.
With the "Push Left" tool, stroking up will push it in one direction, while stroking down will push it the other. I forget which is which, but all you have to do is try it to figure it out, haha.
Generally what I'll do is set my history brush point to the new layer I'm about to work on, before I've made any changes. That way after I'm done using Push Left, if I've warped anything that shouldn't be, I can clean it up with the History Brush. Sometimes I don't need to... sometimes I do... it just depends on what's surrounding the area I'm working on.
