Pre-mature cherry blossom CC please

The cherry blossom buds reminded me of fireworks. I tried to convey that without too much processing. I was going to darken the background a bit to try to accomplish. What would you do?

Since your profile isn't marked to allow edits, you might get more responses if you changed that. IMO the images are flat, and not fully exposed. If you have the ability to retake, I would suggest so, and adjust your exposure to get a full histogram. If not and you have LR, on the first image, raise the exposure, bump the contrast to medium, then use the contrast target adjustment to selectively adjust the image, raise the shadows, and blacks, decrease the highlights, and whites. use the luminous target adjustment to raise the luminosity of the flowers, and decrease the background slightly. Use the target saturation adjustment brush to adjust the flowers.

Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it. I changed my profile to "ok to edit photos" I didn't realize that was set that way. I will play around with them a little more.
