Processing Images That Need to be Large?

Hey EmmaB, yes that's my camera (thanks Sparky). The gear isn't the issue, it is the nature of what I'm shooting and how much of it I want in the shot to get the whole structure of the frost, there is too much finite detail that get lost when it is displayed web size and my editing is lacking.

Part of the problem might be that lens gets into diffraction at f/16.

I always do tests on all my lenses to determine the sharpest aperture.

Pix .... divide your shot into sections and look over the smaller sections and decide what you want to do to the bigger image.
Thanks Mully, that's a good idea! I can at least print of a section and see ...

Hmm... good point, I do have some that I shot at F9, closer to my sweet spot, I will check them out. I have it Sparky, I know it's in the pile I just have to figure out which one it is lol! Thanks for your help so far!

What is large? Like in inches or feet.

The image has a lot of edges, making it a high frequency image as far as sharpening goes.
High edge frequency requires extra care when sharpening.

What image editing applications do you have available?

This is a case where having CS 6 can be a real bonus, because of the much wider range of options available compared to either Lightroom or Elements.

I have CS6 :)

I'm not saying huge, but definitely larger than I can see on the screen. I imagine this around 18x24 to 24x36 ish.
