The dreamy look is natural from the humidity over the river and enhanced by using the paint daub filter at its finest setting just to take the edge of reality off of it.

A nice composition Lew. Love the trees on the right and the atmospherics from the mist. The reflection of the sky in the foreground pulls me right into the frame. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the trees on the left that break the mood by being so sharp and vibrant as compared to the rest of the shot. I suppose decreasing the contrast locally in PS could help that, but probably not a nit worth picking.

yes, you are right, I think.

Perhaps I'll try and make a mask to do something with those trees specifically.

Siem Reap, the city near the Angkor ruins is a big time tourist draw with a small and lovely airport totally unusual for SEA.
The entry and exit fees for tourists are substantial.
Hotels and guesthouses at every price range from 5 star palaces to the craphole guesthouses I usually stay in.
Interestingly I stayed at a guesthouse called the Two Pheasants run by an English guy with a beautiful Thai wife and child.
My son was there last year and said he had sold out and moved to Sacramento, CA; I can't imagine the culture shock.
