Rubber Coming Out of Place on D200

This is totally normal for the Nikon grips to peel. It's a bummer, but normal. It happened on my D700 and my F100 not too long ago, the grips were almost off before i actually replaced them (especially the F100).

It's not that expensive to do either. I went to a repair shop here in Portland and just ordered the grips. A week later, they came in and i just replaced them myself in the repair joint.

It will cost you about $50 or so, and if you replace one grip, you might as well replace all of them. All they do is just peel off too, you can just tear them off. The big grip might be screwed into the body through the battery compartment (D700's are), unscrew that, than the grip just rips off.

Than just clean up the exposed areas a little, and the new grips already have adhesive on them, they just go right on. It takes about 15 or so minutes to do, and your camera looks almost new again, and most of all feels better!
