Setting up A D90 For Use With Cactus Triggers

I just got my light stands and Cactus triggers. I'm trying to setup a practice shot with my D90. I'm at a loss as to how to set the D90. I plan on using AP, but when I push the flash button on the side of the viewfinder and turn the wheel, the flash pops up and of course hits the transmitter in the hot shoe. I'm also not sure what to set the menu item e2 to if anything. It's the built-in flash control.

I'm willing to bet it's simple, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out.

if what mode are you shooting on?

usually when the popup flash is going on by itself (That option can be turned off), you are probably shooting on AUTO

Well I don't feel toooooooooooo dumb. :lmao:

It was a problem with the Cactus receiver. They tend to work better when they're turned on.
