The second edit does not emphasise the original flaws as much as the first does, and while I find the tones in 2 very much on the BLAND side (pale, grey), that one seems more pleasing to the eye overall, even though I must add that a photo AS blurred (camera shake, I gather) is no longer pleasing to the eye per se. I always want to adjust my glasses (pun fully intended with what she's doing herself) to get a better vision!
Hi. I'm new here, too, but I notice that people tend to ask for critiques without stating what their objective was when they took the shot. Your top shot emphasises colour, your second shot suggests mood. I think one is not better than the other, they're different shots.
yeah I gotta agree, both really don't do it for me. I'm more of a fan for high key images so I'm gonna go with #1 if we're only talking about the photoshop aspect.
