Hey, Derrell--I wondered if you were ever coming back! You KNOW you've missed all the drama! :lmao:

We do seem to be in a particularly heightened state of ridiculousness right now. I'm hoping that one thread in particular last night was the culmination of the silliness, like the TPF full moon, and perhaps it will wane now and we can get back to the usual level of absurd threads around here. :lol:

LOL; I wasn't referring to the *actual* moon phases, but more to a TPF moon-phase sort of atmosphere. I just had this discussion though--about new-moon lunacy versus full-moon lunacy--with my sons recently. We also think that the craziness might just be worst under a new moon. On the other hand...it seems to me like in the past few years, there is no "ebb and flow"; the crazy just gets bigger and weirder.

Well, in the drug-induced words of Hunter S. Thompson: "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."
Guess that explains why there are so many "pros" out there lately. :lmao:

I was gone from about May 27 to July 15...and wow...I came back early this week to apparent madness.... yeesh...copyright crackdown (leading to banning of one well-known poster!), the Battle of HDR's Definition, the Let's Eliminate Kid Photos in People Photography campaign, thread-lockin, PM-sendin', warning-givin', and so on...I know at least one of the Mods is probably suffering from exhaustion from having to ride herd on the rowdies all day long...just seems like, yeah, a "heightened state of ridiculousness" does exist...

Hmmmm..Chernobyl water...mmmmm--sounds tasty!

I've been gone too and have yet to delve too deeply into the scene. From what little I have seen, "heightened state of ridiculousness" seems pretty accurate.

Yeah, I noticed--you've been missed, too!

Perhaps we need one of those Warning level plans like Homeland Security, based on the current "state of ridiculousness." Right now we are definitely on Code Red.
