I was gone from about May 27 to July 15...and wow...I came back early this week to apparent madness.... yeesh...copyright crackdown (leading to banning of one well-known poster!), the Battle of HDR's Definition, the Let's Eliminate Kid Photos in People Photography campaign, thread-lockin, PM-sendin', warning-givin', and so on...I know at least one of the Mods is probably suffering from exhaustion from having to ride herd on the rowdies all day long...just seems like, yeah, a "heightened state of ridiculousness" does exist...

Well, I *thought* it was for posting a copyrighted photo, which seemed really bizarre, but I was corrected on that by a mod. So, not sure of the specifics or whether the ban is possibly just temporary. I suspect he may just be in a "time out."

I doubt they'll discuss it. From my experience, on my own forum and others I belonged to, there are generally a number of "strikes"...for lack of better words discussed in mod threads with admins. Very very rarely is it a one time occurrence that gets a person banned.

The first one was a copyrighted photo. The second and third one that KMH referred to was posting another copyrighted photo and arguing with a moderator.

See, KMH is now a moderator, so what he says goes. Anybody that disagrees with his heavy handed tactics will be banned. It's as simple as that.

Months ago, I saw this coming. I PM'ed the Mod's and the admins about other dubious decisions he has made. I have also reported every rude or ridiculous post he has made. I suggest you guys do the same. Heck, I even have an infraction for 'arguing' with him when I said a thread didn't need to be moved even though every moderator I PM'ed about it agreed with me, except of course for Keith...

Since what I did wasn't enough to change anything, I have drastically reduced my participation in this forum.

Now, it's up to all of you to decide what you want to do.

If the admins start losing traffic, they will make a change.
