"Poor Things"

For me, a must-see over the holiday into 2024:

Yes, yes they *are* totally cute!
When they're digging up pricey spring bulbs and savoring them like truffles, all I can think is "IED/landmine" and "sniper rifle."

Boo :( They were just some light bulbs.

As for flower bulbs...meh, that's why I personally don't bother with any kind of pricey bulbs. I get more pleasure out of seeing the wildlife enjoying my yard, and for plants that I would like to survive or to grow unmolested, I look for the ones that the deer or squirrels don't care about. I have rabbits that keep eating the previous owner's tulip plants and I tell you, I don't care even a little. I like the rabbits more than I like tulips.

So you have met my cat...... as soon as I plant anything, he comes and “helps” by digging like a dog does. Seeds and builds, onion sets fly

Light bulbs? Who cares. Pricey, imported flower bulbs? Different story. Chicken wire and bird netting-carpeted flower beds keep the little jerks at bay.

Well, the video was about squirrels stealing light bulbs, not flower bulbs.

The Jeep club and a local Motorcycle club escorted the tractor trailer full of wreaths to the Veteran’s cemetery for Wreats Across America, and unloaded the trucks (one wasn’t able to join the precession but met us at the cemetery). We were joined by the County Police Department who did a great job of blocking the intersections, and the Fire Department who sent a heavy squad and an EMS unit to ride. A ladder truck was staged at the entrance with a flag flying from the ladder. Tomorrow is the WAA ceremony and the wreath laying on the graves of the veterans.

MLW and I are taking it easy, otherwise. We walked a little over 18,000 steps while we were in New York,

I started turning the tree ornaments this evening. I’ll get them done tomorrow.

I had a very busy day off from work today. Errands and a hair cut and most of my shopping is done. Just fresh groceries next week and picking up the pre ordered roast from Costco , otherwise I can avoid the craziness of the stores.

Princess is home! We have some plans with friends to do our annual cookie factory Sunday then making candy on Tuesday. Friday we are spending the night in Boston and going to dinner then to the Christmas market. I have a free night at Hilton that’s about to expire and we don’t want to travel again before the end of the year.
