I just finished mowing the yards. I still need to do trim but that can wait until tomorrow.

Howdy Hosers! I hope everyone is well. I’ve been gardening, reading and traveling a lot this summer, at some point I’ll have many many pics to share. The nights have been cooler this week and we had a couple of inches of rain yesterday. Looking forward to fall.

We’ve had intermittent internet and tv service for the last week. Comcast engineer arrived on time, installed a new router and sorted the tv signal. All’s good plus I got a nice credit for our inconvenience.. Well done Comcast..

We had a few days of nice weather. Starting today it will be back up to 100 this week. With the heat we are skipping this year's Festival of Nations in St Louis. There are over 100 food booths and many booths selling goods. There are about 4 stages through out the park with performances. Fun event! The difficult part is deciding what food booth to partake.

Most of my career was in Alaska which was great but after retiring we got tired of dealing with snow and moved to Montana.

Butting in on this thread because my father's forebears came to NH in 1630 and the family name is on a couple of islands in the Piscataqua estuary, including one occupied by the Navy since 1800.

I also lived in Alaska for years but left for the rain (Seattle) after walking away from 3 plane crashes out in the Aleutians. Odds were getting dicey.

Loved her unique and unapologetic style and her generous and empathetic nature. Steel Magnolias is one of my all time favorite movies and she was great in that. Held her own alongside Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Sally Field and Julia Roberts - amazing.

I was thinking of going yesterday but after spending a few hours in my garage setting up my new work bench I chickened out.....too hot. So hot I did not finish going through the tools.

The International Sea Plane Fly In will be on Moosehead Lake in Greenville Maine this year 9/11 thru 9/13 (basically 9/11 and 9/12). I don't get to go every year, but I will be going on Sat 9/12.
