Tips for beginner photographer. Nikon D3100

I'm an extreme no0b. 0.0
I'd really like to get some advice from people more experienced than me. I'm using a Nikon D3100.

What this really translates to is, "Explain photography". The answer your asking for is one that fills many thousands of books... a little too much for a single (or even multiple) forum posts. Now, if you can narrow things down a little... What do you like to shoot, what do you want to learn specifically, why did you buy the camera and so on, we can probably help.
