Todays lesson: (stupid friend content)

So i go over to my friends house with my school's rebel xt. We're all sitting on the couch when my friend Mike decides that he would pick the camera up and mess around with it. That was fine by me. I just figured he was looking around and seeing how it worked. A few minutes of this goes by and he hands it back to me.

mike: "here ya go. I formatted it."
me: "oh swe....wait, you did what?"
mike: "formatted it...ya know, so it'll run faster."
me: ".........you just deleted 200 pictures dude." (i'm not sure how many of them were keepers...but still)
mike: "....no i didn't. I form....dude don't joke with me."
me: "im not. try viewing the pictures."
mike: "it says no image"
me: "good job...."

NOTE TO SELF: never let mike touch camera again.

Hmmm on my Nikon its gives a warning "Are you sure you want to format? It will delete everything on the card"

Well something like that.

I dont let my friends touch my camera anymore. Because they do things like that.

im not sure. i hadn't had a chance to put them on a computer. Everytime i plug the camera in it just sits there flashing "busy" and never picks up a signal. I need to get a card reader...

Anyway, I plan on revisiting the most important places that i've shot at the past few days sunday when i go out to find more places.

Got chased off some property today by some dogs...that was fun. O_O

Either that, or take a film camera over there and let him format that till the cows come home.

Despite being a film guy I can safely say I know how you feel, I had close five hundred pictures formatted into oblivion with out my permission all in one shootin match once.

you do know there is recovery software to get thoses photos back.

All the more reason for the software, Granted I know you said it was the schools camera, but I assume it is a safe bet you are planning on getting a camera of your own at some point. You will definately want that safty net, Why put off till later?
